Malawian rapper Black Minded Rose has stunned the crowd in Denmark after a breath taking performance.
Born Alex Jefferson Kalichelo in Che Mussa township in the city of Blantyre, BMR was exposed to hip hop music at an early age, listening to artists like Big L, Nas, Rakim, 2Pac, Jay-Z and Biggie who inspired him to write and freestyle and overtime, he started recording his music.
Now based in Copenhagen, Denmark, BMR has a couple of projects under his belt having also worked with Wikise, Seven O More and Tsa Leo on “Udzafa Osadwala”, and Ekcess on “Pull up” also releasing “Grinding” which was premiered on Times Tv, gaining him a much needed local fanbase.
BMR having struggled with the come up understands the struggle of being an artist in Malawi and has encouraged his fellow rappers to not only seek a local audience, but to also aim for an international one because there is a wider music market out there with his recent performance baring proof to that.
His recognition in Denmark is a reward of the hard work he has put into his craft and he doesn’t plan on stopping there, he is still hungry for more and the game should be on high alert.
